DJ Drop Maker – Custom DJ Name Drops in a Hype Radio Voice
DJ drops are one- to three-second voiced tags, usually your DJ name over an impact or riser, played over a mix to brand it. JingleLark is an AI DJ drop maker: type your DJ or artist name, pick a hype radio voice, add an intro and outro sound, and download the finished drop as MP3 or WAV, royalty-free.
Make Your Jingle
Write a line, voice it, then mix it into a finished jingle.
Voiceover
Just for your file name — it won't be read out loud.
Swap “Copper Pines FM” for your own station or DJ name — that's the name you'll hear.
Build your jingle
Pick your sounds now — you'll need a voiceover to build.
No versions yet
Pick an intro, bed or outro and hit Build. Every mix lands here so you can compare them and keep the one you like.
It also works as a voice tag for a producer or a radio show host: the same drop with a different name. JingleLark reads your line in one of 24 AI voices, or in your own voice cloned from a short sample, and mixes it with sounds from a library of 88 intros, beds and outros. It makes voiced drops, not sung songs.
Four DJ name drops, four hype voices: listen first
Each drop is one short line in one voice, mixed in JingleLark with the settings you get in the app: an intro sound, an outro sound, the voice ducking the music and the loudness levelled. The DJ names are made up. Remixing a drop with different sounds is free.

Transcript: “You are locked in with DJ Velvet Anvil.”
Voice: Rex Thunder · Deep and tough
Mixed with: Uplift intro · Big Slam outro
Length: 5.5 s
A riser builds tension, the deep voice delivers the name and a slam lands on the downbeat. Suits a build-up before a drop.
Transcript: “Kestrel Nine. Turn it up!”
Voice: Phil · Explosive and passionate
Mixed with: 808 Boom intro · Hard Stop outro
Length: 2.8 s
The shortest version: a hip-hop boom, four words and a stop. Fits mixtape and radio-show tags.
Lengths are for the finished file, sounds included. The voice alone is usually one to three seconds.
How do I make a DJ name drop?
Everything happens in the browser. Only generating the voice uses credits.
- Type your DJ name or artist name plus a few words, such as "in the building" or "on the decks". Keep it under about 40 characters for a drop of around three seconds.
- Pick one of the 24 AI voices and set the pace from 0.7× to 1.2×. The Hype & Announcer group is the usual drop sound.
- Generate the voice: 1 credit for up to 220 characters. It usually comes back within seconds.
- Choose an intro such as a scratch, impact or riser, and an outro if you want one. JingleLark ducks the music under the voice and levels the loudness. Remixing is free.
- Download the drop as MP3 or WAV and load it into the DJ software or player you already use.
How do DJs use DJ drops?
DJs use drops to brand a set, mark transitions and put their name on recordings. Where the drop goes depends on the setting:
- Club and mobile DJs: at the start of a set and before big transitions. A scratch or riser intro fits.
- Wedding and event DJs: a short drop to announce a moment, such as the first dance, then back to the music.
- Radio and podcast hosts: the same drop at the top of each segment, so listeners know the show.
- Mixtapes and recorded sets: a name drop every few tracks, so a shared mix still carries your name.
- Streamers: a short drop when a stream starts.
To use a finished drop, load the MP3 or WAV into the DJ software, sampler or player you already use and assign it to a pad or cue.
Which voices sound like a hype announcer?
The Hype & Announcer group has four voices built for drops, and the Radio & DJ group has the classic broadcast sound:
- Xavier: bold metallic announcer. A good first pick for a club-style name drop.
- Brock: commanding and loud. For names that should hit on the beat.
- Rex Thunder: deep and tough. For heavier, bass-led sets.
- Phil: explosive and passionate. Short, high-energy tags.
- Johnny Dynamite (vintage radio DJ) and Nathan (modern station host) from the Radio & DJ group suit radio-show drops.

Can I make a DJ drop with a female voice?
Yes. The four Hype & Announcer voices are male, but the Radio & DJ group has Rachel M, a British radio presenter, and the Social group has Brittney (fun, youthful, informative), Eve (authentic and happy) and Hope (bubbly and playful). Generating a line costs the same credit with any voice.
What sounds can I put around a DJ drop?
JingleLark has a library of 88 sounds made for imaging: intros, background beds and outros in 20 style groups, including scratch, impact, riser, laser, hip-hop and swoosh. A DJ drop usually needs only an intro and an outro; add a bed if you want music running under the name.
The sounds come mixed into your finished drop. They are not sold or downloaded on their own, and every finished drop includes at least one intro, bed or outro: JingleLark does not export a voice-only file.
How much do custom DJ drops cost?
Prices per drop for a short line, from each service's own pricing page (checked October 2026). A JingleLark drop is one voice generation of up to 220 characters, which is 1 credit.
| Option | Price | About per drop | What to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| JingleLark Starter | $14.9 for 50 credits | $0.30 | Credits never expire. Mixing and downloads are free. |
| JingleLark Standard | $39 for 200 credits | $0.20 | Same drop, bigger pack. |
| JingleLark Pro | $99 for 600 credits | $0.17 | For DJs who change drops often. |
| Hot Drop Maker | $9.99 for 2, $14.99 for 5, $19.99 for 10 | $2 to $5 | AI drops sold as credits that do not expire. |
| Microjingles custom drops | $15 to $20 per drop | $15 to $20 | Made by a voice artist; sound effects and music cost extra. |
The JingleLark figures are the price of a pack divided by its credits, one drop each. If you re-record the line with a different name or voice, that is another credit; remixing the same voice with other sounds is free, and a failed generation refunds its credit automatically.
A human voice artist makes sense when you want a particular person, accent or a custom edit. For a name drop you will want in several versions, an AI voice costs a few cents per attempt.
DJ drop script examples
Swap in your own name. Short beats long: a name and three words is plenty.
- “[DJ name], in the building!”
- “[DJ name] on the decks. Let's go!”
- “You are locked in with [DJ name].”
- “This is [show name] with [DJ name]. Stay tuned.”
- “[Artist name] on the beat.”
Hosting a radio show? Put the station name in the line too, or make the station ID separately and use the same voice for both. Open the station ID maker.
Can I use the DJ drops commercially?
Yes. Every drop you download from JingleLark is royalty-free for radio, podcasts, social media and paid ads. There are no per-play fees, and the license does not expire.
What file formats do I get?
MP3 and WAV, both free to download as many times as you like. The WAV is converted in your browser from the same mix as the MP3, for players that prefer WAV files; it is not a separate higher-quality master.

Frequently asked questions
What are DJ drops?
DJ drops are one- to three-second voiced tags, usually your DJ name over an impact or riser, played over a mix to brand it. They are also called DJ name drops, DJ tags or voice tags.
Can AI make DJ drops?
Yes. JingleLark reads your DJ name in one of its AI voices and mixes it with an intro and outro sound, so you get a finished MP3 or WAV in seconds. It makes voiced drops only; it does not compose or sing.
Can I create my own DJ drops with my name?
Yes. Type your DJ or artist name and a few words, pick a voice and sounds, and download the result. Each generation of up to 220 characters is 1 credit.
Which app makes DJ drops?
JingleLark runs in the browser, so there is nothing to install. Type your name, pick a voice, add sounds and download the finished MP3 or WAV.
Is a DJ drop the same as a DJ jingle?
People use the words loosely. A drop is the shortest form, one to three seconds of voice, while a DJ jingle maker output can run longer with a bed under it. JingleLark makes both the same way: a line, a voice and the sounds around it.
How much does a DJ drop cost?
On JingleLark a drop of up to 220 characters is 1 credit: about $0.30 on the Starter pack ($14.9 for 50 credits), about $0.20 on Standard ($39 for 200) and about $0.17 on Pro ($99 for 600). Mixing and downloading are free, and credits never expire.
Is there a free DJ drop maker?
A new JingleLark account gets one free credit, enough for one short drop, and remixing and downloading are always free. After that, the voice is paid for with one-time credit packs from $14.9 for 50 credits.
Can JingleLark make sung drops or jingles?
No. JingleLark makes voiced jingles, IDs and drops, not sung songs. If you need a singer, a jingle house is the right call.
Can I download the music and sound effects on their own?
No. The intros, beds and outros are mixed into your finished drop and are not sold or downloaded separately.
Can I use my own voice?
Yes. Record or upload 8 to 30 seconds of clear speech, confirm you have the right to use that voice, and pick it like any other voice. Creating the clone is free; each drop costs the same credits as with any of the 24 AI voices. You cannot upload a finished voiceover or use a voice changer.
What file format do I get?
MP3 and WAV, both free to download as many times as you like.
